November is a month of transition, the heating is on for increasing lengths of time, woolly jumpers, hats and scarves are dug out from wherever we left them in the spring. The clocks have changed and we have loud and colourful fireworks, followed by the silence of Remembrance before the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations begin.
In addition to our regular activities and events this month we will be holding a short Service of Remembrance on 11th November to remember those we’ve known and loved who have died in conflict. Whether this was a World War or a more recent conflict all are invites to submit names of those you wish to remember that these will be read out during the service and we’ll include a 2 minutes silence at 11am.
We excited about our new Christmas Market on 25th November. We have a good number of stalls selling crafts, candles, knitted items and pens as well as a few fun activities such as the Nativity Photo Shoot and a visit from Father Christmas.
As a church we remember that Jesus lay down his life for each one of us so that we can have a relationship with God and look forward to Christmas as a time of celebrating his light shining into darkness.
